Powering the bird is a massive 390 cubic inch V8 motor mated to a smooth shifting automatic transmission. Some upgrades to the Thunderbird include a dual Magnaflow exhausts,750 CFM Demon Street carb and more. Features of the T-bird include power steering, power front disc brakes, functional heat and more. Additionally, the Thunderbird comes with various parts and trim. Before coming to us this vehicle was inspected by a locally well known classic automotive shop and any issues were addressed giving the Bird a clean bill of health. So, if you're in the market for a highly recognizable vehicle sure to turn a few heads, this is the Ford for you. Please call or email us today for more information. Even though it was the last year of the generation, 1966 saw a stylistic revision for the Thunderbird highlighted by a new egg-crate style grille with a large Thunderbird emblem at its center and a single-blade front bumper. The rear bumper was restyled to include new full-width tail lamps. Engine choices were also revised for 1966. The standard 390 cu in (6.4 L) V8 equipped with a single four-barrel carburetor produced 315 horsepower. Newly optional and taking the top position for performance was a 345 horsepower 428 cu in (7.0 L) FE V8. The 428 cost only $86 over the base engine, and was a popular option. This would be the last year for the convertible until the retro models of 2002-05. To see over 80 photos of this car, including under carriage please visit our website www.grautogallery.com

Recalls are a well-established global practice; from time to time they are announced by almost all manufacturers of not only cars, but also any other industrial products. But since a car is considered a source of increased danger, it is recalls in the automotive industry that attract the most attention and cause the greatest resonance. Check if your car is covered by a recall campaign. Sometimes manufacturers will recall their cars because of substandard parts or workmanship and repair them for free, regardless of the warranty. This is called a recall campaign. More information on 1966 Ford THUNDERBIRD recalls can be found in this database. It may be useful to use online problems resource that shows automotive defect patterns, based on complaint data submitted by vehicle owners. The problems are organized into groups with data published by vehicle, component, and specific issue. See also an updated list of 1966 Ford THUNDERBIRD problems before buying a used car. In most cases, the recall is initiated by the manufacturer. But it also happens that it is forced to do so. The largest and most scandalous recall campaigns were those that were initiated by complaints and lawsuits from consumers through controlling state structures.
